If you have forgotten your password simply visit our https://www.carvalid.com/login page and click on "Forgot Password" from there you can follow instructions on how to retrieve your password. If you need additional help with your account, please contact us.

Upon completing your purchase, you will receive two emails at the email address you provided during signup. The first email will include your order details, such as the order number and other purchase-related information. The second email will contain your account information, including your login credentials. Your order receipts are also available from within your account’s settings page within the Carvalid member’s area.

Carvalid utilizes some of the most advanced techniques to protect your information and personal data including technical, administrative and even physical safeguards against unauthorized access, misuse, improper disclosure.
All of your transactional information is encrypted and transmitted using a Secure Sockets (SSL) protocol.

In some instances, our email responses have been known to get mistakenly directed to Junk, Bulk, or Spam folders, so please be sure to check those folders to ensure that our email correspondence does not get lost.

If you've made a purchase from Carvalid, you may see the parent company's name, Cartrest LLC, in the product descriptor section of your banking or PayPal transaction history.

You may cancel your Carvalid services at any time. To cancel, please use our subscription cancelation form. The Carvalid subscription cancelation form can be found by visiting: https://www.carvalid.com/ma/subscription-cancel. Please note that fees are billed monthly in advance, and we do not refund the unused portion of your subscription. However, you will retain full access to searches for the remainder of your subscription period.

After your initial purchase, you will receive a limited time trial. If you do not cancel before the expiration date, a recurring monthly subscription fee of $19.95 will be automatically debited from your billing method and each subsequent month(s) thereafter until you choose to cancel. You may cancel for any reason at any time using our automated subscription cancelation form. You may cancel your Carvalid subscription at any time. We have to pay for each record we acquire but since we buy data in bulk we can pass on the savings to our subscribers by offering reduced pricing and massive discounts.

Vehicle History Reports are available for cars, trucks, vans, RVs, and motorcycles made after 1981, the year when VIN standards were adopted across all manufacturers in the USA.

If you already purchased and searched a report and are having trouble finding it, simply visit our Carvalid.com/login page and login with your username and password and click on “My Reports” button in the left-hand menu. If you need additional help with finding your report, please contact our customer support.

Your saved reports will be available in your member’s area page for as long as your Carvalid subscription remains active. If you choose to cancel your account your reports will be saved up to 30 days from the date of cancelation after which time, they will be purged from our database.

Our full vehicle history report may include information such as: Title State, Event Dates, Types of Events/Brands, Current and Historical Mileage, Theft Check, Theft Recovery Check, Possible Bank Lien, Sale Dates, Seller Dates, Seller States, Sale amount/s, Mileage at the time of sale, Number of previous owners, Odometer Roll Back Check, Taxi use vehicle, Police use vehicle, Former Rental vehicle Check, Government use vehicle, Lemon law vehicle check, Rebuilt check – Pass/Fail inspection, Junk title Check, Duplicate Title, Flood Damage Check, Fire Damage Check, Water Damage Check, Vandalism Record Check, Salvage History Check, Repair History Check, Manufacturer Recall Check, Gray Market Vehicle Check, Record of Warranty Return/Lemon Check, Record of VIN replacement Check, Odometer Reading, TMU record Check and more…

The vehicle specifications presented are based on VIN decoding (which statically identifies the vehicle's manufacturer and description). Hence, it will not reflect specific modifications made to the vehicle in question over the course of its existence. Furthermore, the accuracy of this decoding is not guaranteed.

Our Vehicle History Reports strictly adhere to Driver's Privacy Protection Act of 1994 ("DPPA"), ensuring that they do not contain any personally identifiable information, including the vehicle owner's name and address. Vehicle owner history data may include details such as the number of previous owners, duration of ownership and other relevant (non-identifying) information. Our commitment to responsible business practices means that we aim to provide valuable information to our customers while operating within legal boundaries.

All reports are displayed and saved within the “My Reports” section of the Carvalid member’s area page. You have the option to print, download or email the reports directly to the email address registered to your account at the time of creation.

We are a US-based business and our service is currently available only for vehicles in the US market. While it is possible to obtain information on vehicles exported from the US, the details will be limited to what is available in US based databases.

Please note that VIN numbers were not standardized until 1981. Vehicles older than this may not have a valid VIN. All valid VINs must consist of 17 characters and cannot include the letters O, I, or Q.

If you're having trouble getting results to appear for a specific VIN search please check to ensure you've entered the correct/valid VIN number of a vehicle produced after 1981.
